Our Directors Sittah Russo and Jude Lamb have been running operations and reservations for Albergo Frohsinn since 2002 when it was opened by newly formed company Mountainsun Ltd by whom they were employed. After 15 years working for Mountainsun, in 2017, Sittah and Jude formed Dolomitesun Ltd with the aim of specialising in quality chalet accommodation for skiing in Dolomiti Superski.
We plan to continue running Albergo Frohsinn to the same catered chalet formula that has made it so incredibly popular with returning guests but with a few improvements to our service.
Sittah originates from Berlin and while studying architecture in London, worked at a ski shop where she met Robert Jaffe the founder of Mountainsun Ltd, and Jude. She spent 2 enjoyable seasons as a chalet host in Les Coches and became Manager of Albergo Frohsinn when it was first acquired by Mountainsun in 2002. She has since married Ewald a local man, and their son Tibo is now 10. Sittah is fluent in at least 5 languages and enjoys both skiing and boarding. She was Manager at Albergo Frohsinn until April 2010 and then became Area Manager for Mountainsun. This winter Sittah has returned to a hands-on role as Manager of Albergo Frohsinn.
Jude takes reservations and looks after bookings. She has over 25 years experience working in the ski industry and spent the last 15 years with Mountainsun, prior to which she managed a ski retail and rental businesses in central London for Robert Jaffe, and worked in management in the hospitality industry. This winter she is based at the chalet and is running reservations from there as well as helping out the chalet team. She is thoroughly enjoying spending the winter in the Dolomites and meeting in person, the many returning guests she has got to know over the phone during the last decade.
Chef / Catering Manager
We are thrilled that Kerry will be our chef this winter! Kerry has been visiting as a guest for over 12 years, is the mother of 2 former chalet hosts, and even spent her honeymoon at Frohsinn. After working for Mountainsun last winter at Hotel Diamant, we know that Kerry will put heart and soul into making Albergo Frohsinn a success, improving the catering standards of recent years and providing superb meals for our guests.
